  • Poster/Print + Digital Album

Made up of analogue-created collages, taking designs cues from organic textures and an earthy palette, Mark Greig has put together this original carmine colour-way patchwork piece, mounted onto an A2 background.

The artwork takes select collages from Mark's original series of 28 individual pieces, designed for each song contribution to our Charity Advent Calendar 2020.

Along with the contributed tracks from the compilation, this artwork is only available until the end of April 2021.

All proceeds will be donated and split between You Make It and Project Protect.

about

"Throughout lockdown I had the opportunity to dig through old hard drives and uncover some long forgotten gems. One of things that turned up was a project I recorded in 2013 called 'Progression Is Overrated' that never got released, the title seems more poignant now. This track features the modern day preacher like vocals of teknical.development is. (from the group Obba Supa) and feel just as relevant now as it did then. Tek came to my place in Brixton Hill - he sat, wrote to it and recorded it in one take in my then bedroom. Glad 2 B Sad"

from Advent Calendar 2020 - in aid of You Make It and Project Protect, released December 26, 2020
One new, unreleased track every day of the Advent, donated by some of our favourite artists.

This year we’ve chosen to split profits from the release between two charities, both of whom are doing important work within their respective fields.

The first charity is London-based organisation You Make It, a creative programme that offers young women access to tools, networks and experiences — group learning, 1-1 mentoring, work experience, start-up support and 1-1 pastoral support — giving them the confidence to transform their lives through personal empowerment.

The second is Nigeria-based initiative Project Protect, a subdivision of Burna Boy’s charitable NGO The Reach, launched to help provide financial, medical and legal resources for EndSars protestors during and after the protests.
