Made up of analogue-created collages, taking designs cues from organic textures and an earthy palette, Mark Greig has put together this original carmine colour-way patchwork piece, mounted onto an A2 background.

The artwork takes select collages from Mark's original series of 28 individual pieces, designed for each song contribution to our Charity Advent Calendar 2020.

Along with the contributed tracks from the compilation, this artwork is only available until the end of April 2021.

All proceeds will be donated and split between You Make It and Project Protect.

about

“This track is kind of ambient-not-ambient and quite intense and gnarly in places. The Earl Jaye thing is from watching the TV show vikings and one of the heroines uses the name Earl Lingsrad which is a man’s term etc. been feeling that vibe haha!

With counterfeit coldness and indifference, while inside she feels every little thing with intensity, my maker flicks the tip. That sticky juice enters her like hot vapour and she releases herself into its warm welcoming somnolent ambience. A vast wall of ravaged receptors crashes down around her in delicious chaos and waves of heavy gravity spawned horses trample through her substance and drag her away into delicious darkness. All is well and the edge is avoided for another time.”

from Advent Calendar 2020 - in aid of You Make It and Project Protect, released December 26, 2020
One new, unreleased track every day of the Advent, donated by some of our favourite artists.

This year we’ve chosen to split profits from the release between two charities, both of whom are doing important work within their respective fields.

The first charity is London-based organisation You Make It, a creative programme that offers young women access to tools, networks and experiences — group learning, 1-1 mentoring, work experience, start-up support and 1-1 pastoral support — giving them the confidence to transform their lives through personal empowerment.

The second is Nigeria-based initiative Project Protect, a subdivision of Burna Boy’s charitable NGO The Reach, launched to help provide financial, medical and legal resources for EndSars protestors during and after the protests.
