""I got the main beat for this track about six months ago because my friend Greg asked me if I could create something ‘Moodyman-ish’ for an exhibition video he was making. With such a stimulus, obviously I just threw around some disco samples I had lying on my laptop. He never used it the end. But a few weeks later, I then recorded the flute you can hear with James Ocen in Uganda. I met James for the first time in 2016. He can play anything! James was one of the first people to teach the Adungu (east African harp) in the Acholi region and he regularly plays with the Kampala prison band. He’s pretty dope and any proceeds from this release I will pass onto him as I have not really been at all financially hit in this pandemic.
Despite me trying to make a music career for the past fiive years of my life I’ve failed miserably and so I’ve never at all been a full or even part time DJ/producer. I wish all the best for my full time performers out there though at this time. In particular I want to wish all my musician friends in East Africa the best of luck as they’re also in lockdown and unfortunately don’t get things like universal credit or government support on their earnings. . Hold tight everyone. And remember, pineapple boosts your melatonin which will help you regulate your sleeping pattern and mood at this time :)"

Moodymann creates innovative soul funky music with deep 70s inspiration. The vocals are simply outstanding. A step back in time, 50 years ago! Superb. jef37

My whole body agrees with the pace of this short but solid track list. A generous helping of acoustic rhythm samples ignited by breakbeats add extra attention to full range movement on the dancefloor. Not a beat wasted. cherub420
